As a registered apprenticeship program, works to attract current and aspiring healthcare professionals into the field of surgical technology, not deter them. Our program provides an alternate route for earning certification and gaining employment as a highly-skilled member of the surgical team. This is especially beneficial for individuals who prefer career and technical training over the more expensive, academic route and for employers who are needing to fill positions.

HOW IT WORKS

ON-THE-JOB TRAINING
Build a thriving surgical department by up-skill and cross-training your already employed allied health professionals through employer-driven training.

RELATED TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION
Online, asynchronous course provided by EmployHealth that provides additional career readiness and certification exam preparation materials.

WAGE PROGRESSION
Apprentice is compensated a percentage of entry level pay which increases as they progress through the program creating an attractive "earn while you learn" opportunity.

NATIONAL CREDENTIAL
Apprentice is awarded a nationally recognized certificate issued by the U.S. Department of Labor and eligible to take the Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C) certification exam issued by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
